gastronomical.

Dinner at Shin Yeh.
A Taiwan diner.
Nice. Very nice.
Typical flavours of Taiwan.

Appetizer: Pickled cucumbers and bitter gourd.

Pork knuckles and peanuts in soya sauce.
The sauce is not the typical sticky dark ones.
Its clear and without spices.

Pan-fried turnip cake.
The very taste of traditional Taiwan delicacies.
A must-have.

Wok-fried beef fillet with garlic.
I did not ate this.

Taiwan-style wok-fried french beans with minced pork.

Poached savoury duck in bouillon. Served cold.
Taste best with condiments; ginger.

Double-boiled chicken with mustard heart and sweet potatoes in hotpot.
Nutritious vegetable. Has a faint bitter taste. But still, yum :)
They double-boil it outside on the counter (pic).

Taiwan-style red bean and milk shaven ice.
Must try the Taiwan-style mango and milk shaven ice next time.
Sold out that day.

Sweetened almond jelly with peach in syrup.
The jelly is made oftofu. But tastes like glutinous tofu.
The restaurant claims that this dish could only be found in Shin Yeh.
One and only with their formula and culinary skills.

cheers :)
period.
