Asean Regional Union of Psychological Societies (ARUPS) Conference 2010 Venue: HELP Main Campus Date: 2-3 Oct 2010 i was there ;D damn.i was alone cus yi mei and michelle did not go. what a waste :\ come on. i mean its a free ticket worth like over RM200 for the conference. Theres like so many people there; lecturers, professors, psychologists, counsellors; all from different Asean countries. There were even people from Europe and god knows where else. Practically we just choose which presentation and symposium that we want to attend; rush to the venue; sit; listen; scribble notes; etc. etc. then move to the next venue. i had fun there. running around like some busy lady HAHA :D but it was tiring cus its like at two separate buildings in HELP. met awesome people; learnt awesome stuff. i even bought a book which costs like almost RM100 AFTER discount. and its like what, the cheapest book on sale. Spotted another amazing shoe designer. Andreia Chaves . what so famous about her are her artistic (d'uh) and her mathematical concepts. or i would rather say geometrical.yes. first up; "The Invisible Shoe" . yes, it is 'invisible', no ? asymmetrically low-cut boot. Then there are these shoes which reminds me of blocks from 'Stack em's'. "Form and Texture" shoe. squares of leather and cubes of sycamore wood. how can THAT heel balance someone up. amazingly it does. wonder what happens when the tip of the heel gets worn out. "Twirled" shoe. hmm. this reminds me of the craft you make out form soda cans. used clear PVC at the wedge heel and beneath the metals. And the last piece; "The Velcro Shoe" (?) i. dont like this. but at least you can twist and wrap and shape and stick them as you like and redo until you're pleased.with your creation. I just came to know of the existence of Ballet heels . which are really pointe shoes. with god-knows-how-many-inch heels. OUCH. but at the same time OMG. they are like so prettayyyyy. if you never had any experience in wearing pointe shoes; these will be your death. or if you have 20 years of experience with pointe shoes; it might not be your death. just slightly. such awesome ballet heels are the only thing that really defines killer heels. beyonce had worn it in her MV "Green Light"; christina aguilera in "Hurt"; Pink in "U+Ur Hand". And of course the very iconic Lady Gaga who made Armadillo heels so famous. The late Alexander McQueen and his Spring 2010 Collection. Along with his Armadillo creations. submitted the damned essay which is only 150 words max . its thousand million times harder than writing a 400 word essay because you just gotta cram all your best and express it in 150 words. which is so not enough. oh well. did what i could. period.
